Welcome to my journey!

Guided by daily small feasts and sacred worship, I journey across Japan in our van. From hidden local eateries and historic hot springs to sacred shrines, I share the raw, cozy moments of our road trips and daily life through my YouTube vlogs and blogs.

Welcome to my journey!

This is a collection of travel and lifestyle stories by a Japanese woman, exploring the world alongside my husband. Together, we journey across the country, seeking out delicious local specialties, peaceful shrines, and relaxing hot springs (Onsen).

Our channel and blog name, “PuJourney,” is a thoughtful blend of “Puja” and “Journey.” In Sanskrit, the word “Puja” represents the sacred rituals of worship and heartfelt prayers. It is a reflection of my philosophy—and it is also my name.

Please feel free to call me Puja!

Our travels are driven by a love for good food, a desire for blessings, and a deep sense of reverence. The passion for this journey never ends. When it comes to hot springs, I deeply value their unique quality and distinct character, always loving to uncover the true, authentic charm of local Japan.

Traveling and sleeping in our light van (Kei-van) makes this long-distance adventure incredibly flexible and free. Since a relaxing drink with dinner is a daily ritual for us, winding down inside our van has become an essential part of the trip! In our cozy little space, sitting shoulder-to-shoulder, relaxing, and savoring a quiet, tipsy rest is truly one of our favorite parts of van life.

Of course, we love staying at traditional accommodations too! Sometimes we check into charming hot spring inns (Ryokan) just to soak in the healing baths multiple times. Some places offer room-only stays, while others provide exquisite, beautifully prepared dinners. Sometimes we indulge in the inn’s wonderful food, and other times we create our own little feast right in our room—which feels delightfully just like eating in our van! We love experiencing Japan in all of these different, beautiful styles.

About Our YouTube Vlog:

I handle all the travel planning and video editing, while my husband is the creative eye behind the camera, capturing our journey. By the way, I don’t speak English myself, so my husband takes care of the English narration and checks everything for me!
